Meet our Team
Jon Chappell, President
Jon Chappell (he/him) is a native of Birmingham, AL, and has called Seattle home for the past 6 years. He is a proud 3x alumnus of the University of Alabama (BA ’11, MBA/MS ’13). Jon works in Cloud Solution Delivery at Microsoft, where he founded and manages the Bama at Microsoft alumni group. From 2022-2024, Jon served as the Vice President of Career and Community for another UA alumni affinity chapter. He has volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Association, and in 2023, was recognized as a Champion for his leadership in organizing a Walk to End Alzheimer’s team. Jon lives in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle with his Boston Terrier, Barney.
Laura Fenton, Vice President
Laura Fenton (she/her) is from Memphis, TN and moved to Seattle 6 years ago for a role in corporate communications with Boeing, where she continues to work. Laura graduated from the University of Alabama (BA ’09) and the University of Memphis (MA ’13). She lives in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle. In her spare time, Laura enjoys fostering rescue dogs, paddleboarding on local lakes, and volunteering with TEDxSeattle.
Nancy Boutwell, Treasurer
Nancy Boutwell (she/her) grew up in Birmingham, AL. She and her husband, Loren Peters, were at the very first Seattle watch party and Nancy has served as Treasurer since the Seattle Chapter was established in 2012. In Birmingham, she served on the board of Do Dah Day for 10 years, an annual nonprofit event supporting local animal shelters, and managed Boutwell Studios for 24 years. Now in Seattle, Nancy works as a private nanny helping to raise healthy, happy infants and toddlers.

Jason Jazbinschek, Events Chair
Jason Jazbinschek (he/him) is a creative technologist with a background in Florida, where he became a big Alabama fan almost 20 years ago. He’s spent almost two decades with Apple, where he’s been the Creative. Outside of work, Jason loves hiking, running, yoga, photography, and anything that sparks his creativity and brings people together. He’s always on the lookout for new places to explore and really enjoys capturing special moments during Alabama games. He’s dreaming of building a community in Seattle.
